WordPress Playground is really cool

I just played around with WordPress Playground to run Playwright tests with it and it’s really cool.

Yes, I know I could have just used wp-env for it, but I’m still no fan of using Docker for local development and wanted something more lightweight. And even though I’m pretty sure wp-env will sooner or later adjusted to use WordPress Playground under the hood, I needed it now.

In the end, it just takes around five seconds to create a WordPress (to be fair: after it already initialized before) and can run the tests. I don’t think I would get Docker as fast as WordPress Playground.
